Google cuts ties with Videostrong over 1.3 million-box botnet
Google says it has disrupted X.CPE, a botnet hidden in more than 1.3 million Android TV boxes before they were sold. The backdoor let criminals use home internet connections and, in Google’s account, reached far beyond the devices themselves.
