Istanbul floodwater closes highway stretch and traps traffic on the Asian side
Heavy rain flooded parts of Istanbul on Tuesday, closing a stretch of the D-100 highway and driving citywide traffic congestion to 80 percent. The Asian side, including Tuzla and Pendik, was hit hardest; flooding also affected Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
