Pope Leo XIV's discharge and recovery after lung surgery

The Vatican said Pope Leo XIV was expected to leave Gemelli Hospital in Rome on Saturday, 17 October, after surgery for pulmonary adenocarcinoma. An Angelus from his apartment was planned for Sunday, while further tests on the tumor remained pending; the Vatican was also preparing a November trip to Latin America.
