Australia’s under-16 social media ban faces a High Court challenge

Australia’s ban, in force since 10 December 2025, is being challenged on constitutional grounds by the Digital Freedom Project and Reddit, while South Australia has joined the defence. Denmark, France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Greece have announced or considered similar measures, according to Glam Adelaide.
