On 6 October 2026, Kosovo’s Assembly approved amendments changing the jurisdiction, sentencing limits and transfer rules of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers. The EU and Germany’s embassy in Pristina expressed concern; the vote followed a September 16 judgment sentencing four former KLA leaders to a total of 81 years.
