Palestinian media reported 14 new violations of the Gaza ceasefire on Wednesday, including airstrikes, artillery fire, gunfire and the demolition of homes. The incidents were reported in Gaza City, Khan Younis, Bureij, Rafah and other parts of the territory as the humanitarian situation continued to deteriorate.

The reports differed on the immediate number of casualties. Al-Manar said six people, including a woman, were killed and others wounded. It separately cited local sources as saying that at least five people were killed and 13 injured when an Israeli airstrike hit a vehicle in the Tal al-Hawa area of southwestern Gaza City. PNN and Al-Quds News instead reported that a girl, identified by Al-Quds News as Iman Abdel Aal, was killed and that several people were injured in the incidents they described.

Strikes reported across the territory

Medical sources cited by the outlets said people were wounded near the Dream Palace hall west of Khan Younis. Reports also described a wounded fisherman after a drone dropped a bomb near Beach refugee camp in Gaza City, and shooting in the Qizan Rashwan area south of Khan Younis. The accounts differed over one casualty there: PNN and Al-Quds News referred to a wounded Palestinian man, while Al-Manar said a girl was shot in the back while inside her tent.

Three displaced people, including a woman, were reported wounded after an attack damaged a camp near the Shujaiya intersection in eastern Gaza City. Artillery fire was reported in Shujaiya, Zeitoun, eastern Bureij and Deir al-Balah. The outlets also reported damage to residential buildings, including a house on Baghdad Street, and demolition operations in Rafah.

Ceasefire under continuing strain

The ceasefire agreement was signed on 10 October 2025 in Sharm el-Sheikh with Arab and US mediation. PNN and Al-Quds News said the reported violations had continued for 356 consecutive days. Both outlets also linked the current arrangement to understandings reached in July 2026 on implementing a second phase.

US President Donald Trump said on 31 July 2026 that a new agreement had been reached to begin the second phase of a Gaza roadmap. The Palestinian reports said Israeli military operations nevertheless continued in several parts of the territory.

Humanitarian pressure

The Gaza Government Media Office said Israel had committed 5,147 violations during the first year of the ceasefire, resulting in 1,421 deaths, 4,983 injuries and the arrest of 198 people. These figures were issued by the office and were not independently verified in the reports.

The office also said only 35% of the agreed humanitarian and reconstruction aid trucks had entered Gaza, while 39% of the intended travellers had been allowed to cross. It warned of worsening conditions as winter approached, saying 162,000 of the 270,000 tents housing displaced people were worn out and no longer fit for use.
