Three Palestinians were reported killed in Israeli strikes and gunfire across the Gaza Strip on October 2, while three others, including a girl and an elderly woman, were reported wounded near Khan Younis. The incidents were reported despite a ceasefire that took effect on October 10, 2025.
Reported deaths in central and northern Gaza
In the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, Ibrahim Abu Uwaimer was killed when an Israeli drone struck the courtyard of a family home, according to reports cited by Palestinian media. His body was taken to Al-Awda Hospital.
Ahmed al-Ramlawi was reported killed in a strike on a tent erected on the roof of a house in the area around Palestine Stadium in Gaza City. Sources also reported the death of Ibrahim Munir al-Masri, but differed over the details: one account placed the incident near the Ansar intersection southwest of Gaza City, while another said he was killed in Tal al-Hawa, west of the city, in a strike by an Israeli reconnaissance drone.
Fire reported near Khan Younis
Three Palestinians were reported wounded in southern Gaza. The accounts identified a girl and an elderly woman among them. The reported incidents took place near Khan Younis, including around Hamad City, Al-Mawasi and the Qarara intersection, where Israeli military vehicles were said to have opened fire toward residential areas and tents sheltering displaced people.
One report said a Palestinian youth was also wounded in Hamad City, while another identified the injured girl as Sahar al-Shawaf. These details were not consistently reported across the accounts.
Further strikes and conflicting casualty totals
Reports described continued shelling and gunfire in several parts of Gaza. In Gaza City, illumination flares and explosions were reported east and northeast of the city, alongside strikes near the Shujaiya intersection and in the eastern part of the Tuffah district. Artillery fire was also reported east of Deir al-Balah and near the Maghazi refugee camp. In southern Gaza, demolitions were reported south of Khan Younis, while naval gunfire was reported off the coast near Rafah.
The Gaza Health Ministry figures cited in the reports differed. One account said 1,439 Palestinians had been killed and 5,052 wounded in violations of the ceasefire. Another cited 1,433 killed and 5,026 wounded since the agreement was signed. A separate report from Gaza said more than 74,000 Palestinians had been killed and more than 175,000 wounded in the enclave since October 8, 2023, and that about 90% of its infrastructure had been destroyed.
